The Importance of a Good Email
When contacting an Instructor, Professor or Manager, it is important to construct a good email.
We'll be going over how to constructor one since you will soon be contacting your service learning organization that you'll be meeting with soon.
Emailing your Professor
Remember, try to always give a professor enough time to answer your emails back.
If it's late in the evening, most professor won't be able to reply back until the next morning.
So do not wait until the last minute, to ask your questions.
Emailing your Academic Advisor
Like the example of a good email to your professor, make sure to do the following:
Use your student email
Fill the subject with something such as "Advising Appointment Request"
Give your full name, A#, and politely ask them for an appoint for advising for Fall and/or Summer.
Include any questions that you know you already have.
Ask for available times and offer any days/times that you know you have off.
Try not to make an appointment during a time you have class.
BUT if it is the only time you you can get an appointment, then let your professor know. Apologize for having to miss class and let them know that you make up any work missed.
Academic Advising / Registration Handout
Email your advisor for an advising appointment. Take a screenshot of the email and upload it to Blackboard by the end of Seminar on Thursday, March 8th
Registration worksheet is due by April 5th
