Practice Presentation Activity!!!
For many, this may be your first presentation in college.
It is your Integrated Assignment so it's important that it goes well.
What you will do today is present your introduction portion to the class.
It's good to have practice so that you can get over the nerves and also get used to pacing.
Introduction Requirements (worth 20 points)
Attention Grabber
Establish Relevance
Establish Credibility
Central Idea
Transition to Body of Presentation
Over all Presentation should be 3-5 min in length. So your introduction should be about 1min / 1:30min in length so that you can give plenty of time to the Body and still have some time left over for the conclusion.
You'll each give your introduction for the class.
Each audience member will fill out a mini evaluation form.
Make sure to write your name the evals (the name will be removed so that the comments remain anonymous)
Make sure to also write down the presenters name on the upper left corner.
I will time you and flash timer cards so you can get used to seeing them (Dr. Meyers uses them as a time keeper).
On Thursday before we left for Spring Break, your Student Mentor gave an important presentation on Academic Probation / Suspension. We also discussed registration that week.
This was all important information, so to make sure you were paying attention and that you don't forget it, I have a mini review quiz.
Please complete (on your own), though you can use the inter webs to help find the answers, write your name and hand in to me.
After you turn it in, make sure you have signed in and pick up your eval comment cards!
GOOD LUCK ON YOUR PRESENTATIONS!!!
